Which? pledges support for Scope
21 August 2008
Not-for-profit consumer group Which? has announced a new initiative supporting disability charity Scope.
Which? will donate £10 to Scope for every person that switches their energy supplier through Switch With Which?. On average, customers who used the service saved £233* in a year, so consumers will benefit too.
The donations made will help Scope work with disabled people to achieve equality through its Time to Get Equal campaign and a range of innovative services which enable disabled people to have choice and control over their lives.
Alison Morrison, Head of Non-Subscription Marketing, Which?, says:
“We’re delighted to be building this partnership with Scope. We hope that it will enable us to reach out to many more households, including disabled people, and help them get a better deal on their energy bills.
“At Which? we aim to make individuals as powerful as the organisations they deal with in their everyday lives and this is more important than ever with fears about the credit crunch and energy bills. We’ve done our best to make switching as simple as possible – anyone with access to a telephone can call us for free, or people can go online at our website.”
Jane Aldous, Head of Scope Partnerships, says:
“In this current economic climate, we’re all thinking about how we can save money and the Switch with Which? service will help consumers do just that. Scope is very proud to be partnering with Which?, who are not only making it easier for thousands of people to save money on their energy bills, but also helping us raise vital funds to work with disabled people.”
Switching suppliers is simple, free and fast. Customers simply need to call 0800 533 31 quoting Scope with a copy of a recent energy bill, or visit www.switchwithwhich.co.uk/scope
