Which? says

It’s clear that comparison websites have some way to go in terms of keeping their customers satisfied. Although plenty of us use them, the experience often falls short of our expectations. Perhaps improving things like the help text, layout and the use of defaults, and making it easier to opt out of receiving unsolicited emails will make them easier and better to use.

In the meantime, however, if you’re shopping around for a good deal, it makes sense to go to more than one and be aware some companies aren’t featured. Watch out for things like the voluntary excess though, and make sure the policy you’re offered is what you actually want.
