Golf on TVMajors

Golf is one of the UK's most popular sports

Whilst golf is one of the UK's most popular sports, TV coverage is surprisingly open and hasn't been dominated (yet) by one of the big subscriptions services.

Although the British Open is a free -to-air (Group B) tournament with highlights appearing on the BBC, the Beeb also has the rights to the US Masters, at least in 2007.

Elsewhere among the majors, Setanta has snapped up the rights to the US PGA Tour and Sky Sports have the rights to the US Open until 2009. So to watch these you'll need to subscribe to one of the pay TV services.
