Travelling with children Insurance and contacts
Insurance
Some insurers won’t cover you if you travel while pregnant
If you have an annual insurance policy check it carefully as some insurers won’t cover you if you travel when pregnant, particularly in the latter stages of pregnancy. You also might find that you need a statement from your doctor to say your pregnancy isn’t high risk before a company will insure you.
Check that your policy covers you for expenses relating to premature birth or post-birth care and medical care as a consequence of pregnancy, and cancellation or incurred losses in connection with pregnancy.
Try the following brokers:
- Brunsdon LLP will insure women up to the 32nd week of a single pregnancy under their standard terms.
- Bureau Insurance Services This broker will insure you up to the end of the 36th week of pregnancy.
