This car seat is safe, the demos that the Cybex website show are helpful. I really like the head protection. 'Which' say that the seat is quite heavy but I didn't really notice this. It is easy to fit. Yes, you do need a long seat belt but I own an Aygo and it fits fine, it has also been fitted in my husbands BMW and the seat belt length is ok. Putting the seat belt on is a little awkward to start with as you have to lean accross your baby/child. However after a little practice you get quicker and it takes me less time to put the seat belt on now than my five point belt fix in the previous seat.I bought this seat from Mamas and Papas. Girl was very helpful and fitted it in my car to ensure it fit. I also got to try my baby in it. This was where I was worried as 'Which' reviews say that some children do not like the impact cushion. In the store my baby didn't like having it fitted across her. However there was an audience bless her. She hasn't complained once since it was fitted in the car though - I think this is down to the fact that she is sitting forward for the first time and there is lots to look at. I think the visibility in the seat is good. It doesn't recline into a fabulous sleep position, however that said, the impact cushion provides a great support and my baby sleeps in a good position without her head slumping awkwardly. It is also really easy to slide the seat into the recline position.The seat says it fits children from 9 kg. If your baby is on the petite side though they will be lost in this seat so you may want to hold off until they are a bit bigger. As long as they are not too big for their rear facing seat it will be fine to wait. I really like this seat. It is safe, smart and easy to use.
