Love it
We got our iCandy Apple in Feb 2008 and 2 children and nearly 5 years of constant use I can honestly say it is BRILLIANT and I am so glad we got it! We did a lot of research before buying it but two features that probably swung it for the iCandy over similar styles were point 1) the amazing range on the chassis handle, I am 5ft 4in and my husband 6ft 2in and we can both push it really comfortably by extending/dropping the handle (I also extend the handle for negotiating stairs as you get a much better pivot when extended and it is so much easier & less tiring on the arms) and point 2) the shopping basket is huge in comparison to just about anything else I’ve seen. We load up the buggy on a daily basis with a full basket and often 2 scooters across the handlebars and it just takes it with no impact on performance. It is a delight to push, you don't feel like you are fighting it constantly to keep it going in one direction and it can be pushed one handed if you need/want to. The pushchair top was used with mine till they were 5/6 months old and they often fell asleep in it and we would just lift it off the base when we got places and use it as a makeshift Moses basket. For the first 15 months of owning it, the iCandy was our only buggy and although it is big when collapsed it still fits in the boot of my Fiat Panda. (When using the carrycot I did have to put the carrycot on a seat with the chassis in the boot but with the pushchair top I can fit the pushchair & chassis in my little boot.) We eventually got a Maclaren when we went on holiday which now tends to live in the car for the occasional shopping trip but the iCandy is still our main buggy for walking around the town where I live and I walk 30+ miles with it most weeks and it is still going strong! My second child is nearly 2 and a half and I am honestly going to miss my trusty iCandy when they finally decide that they prefer walking and scooting to being pushed. It was worth every penny and for me it has been the perfect travel system.A couple of notes of things I’ve noticed over the years of use:a) I use it in the 4 wheel mode as the one week I had it in 3 wheel mode after my husband wanted to see what it looked like (which is really still 4 wheel but the front 2 are much closer together!) it didn’t feel as stable but this was just my experience and I only used it as such with the carrycot top. I imagine with the pushchair top facing forward and therefore with the child’s weight over the back wheels it wouldn’t be such a problem.b) We have had 2 punctures in the last 5 years but I don’t think that’s that bad really with the walking I do and both were easily fixable with a puncture repair kitc) The back pneumatic tyres do lose pressure over time (as you’d expect and especially with the amount of use I give mine) and should be checked every couple of weeks as the ride is more comfy when they are kept at a decent pressured) Don’t be put off by reports that it is hard to fold the chassis. Like so many things there is a knack (it’s all in the wrist!) and after 1 or 2 goes you’ll never think about it again.e) The cosytoes was so snugly but it’s not the longest and unfortunately both mine had outgrown it by age 2f) My rain cover has just about had it but I can’t really complain after 5 years and thankfully my son is nearly 2 and a half so won’t need it for much longer! Also, the bar that goes across the front of the pushchair top, my second child decided to start slipping his arms out of the straps and leaning forward to chew all the foam off of it so I took it off and we have used it without for the last year!

Even fits in the boot of my mini!
We did a lot of research into finding a good buggy when we were expecting our little one and finally settled on the iCandy apple. I can't rave about it enough! It's a great sturdy buggy and easy to switch between the car seat & carrycot (not used the buggy seat yet as little one is just 6 weeks!) My main criteria when looking for a buggy was that it would fit in the boot of my mini as that is the car I use daily and wasn't going to buy a new car! The iCandy Apple does, with the rear wheels off which is so easy to do! the only slight flaw I found was with collapsing it, it's a wee bit stiff but with a couple of practices I got it sussed and can do it pretty quick now. We love our Buggy and cannot recommend it enough!

icandy do!
I have owned an icandy apple for over four years now. I originally purchased a silvercross 3d pram system that cost me nye on £400. It lasted 10 weeks!! My boy who isnt especially large outgrew the carrycot and hated being in the pushchair. We stumbled across the icandy by pure chance browsing and as soon as i placed my boy into the pushchair seat, he fell asleep!! in the shop!! So that was it and another £600 later. Luckily i bought from a shop that allowed me to pay for in 3 parts. Since then i have added to the whole system with carrycot, car seat, raincovers, palm shade, two footmuffs and summer kit. This whole system has been fantastic. My only grumble really is that the handle mechanism snapped and i have recently had to purchase an new entire handle which took 9 weeks to arrive! Customer service with icandy isnt the greatest unfortunately and they did take abit of pushing to get a wriggle on as i was having to borrow a friends icandy chassis with my seat. Anyway new handle in situ which is much better. Everything is back to normal and my second wee boy just loves his pushchair. I am thinking about selling my beloved icandy for a smaller pushchair as my boy will be one this year and is getting ready to walk. The icandy chassis is large and heavy but it has outlasted my friends four pushchairs and it is still going strong. My only maor complaint is the price of the accessories are rather above the average but thats where ebay comes into its own! Icandy products are very robust and take alot of hammer. I was one of the first to own an icandy in my town and i felt rather smug for a couple of years when i watched others battling with flimsy pushchairs that looked like poop after abit of wear and tear. I love the carrycot for this pushchair. It double as a moses basket for my second boy and he loves sleeping in the pushchair seat. The raincover has finally bitten the dust i need to replace it but who can complain after 4 and half years of wind, hail, snow and two kids! I may seem like i am gushing about this pushchair and i suppose i am a little. Its been a fab pushchair and i highly recommend it to anyone who has to walk everywhere and wants a comfortable ride for their child. Both my boys have been well catered for in this pushchair/pram but times move on and i'm ready for a new model! (i'm still tempted by the icandy peach ltd edition!!).So all in all...10/10 for me and my boys! thank you icandy but please improve your customer services. A swift kick up the bum of your staff in repairs is in order i feel! :D

iCandy Apple - 3 wheels
I bought the icandy as i need to walk my dogs round the local common and i needed something pretty sturdy and easy to use. I find it perfect for rough terrain, and the baby seems to really enjoy bouncing around the common with me. The only drawback is that it is quite heavy to lift in and out of the boot [I am 5'3" and drive a 4x4] i have to agree with which on that side and it does take up a lot of room with 2 dogs to fit in the boot as well. But i find it very easy to get up and down and really easy to maneuver around town. A friend had the bugaboo chameleon which looks tiny in comparison to the icandy but then she lives in a town and has very different needs. We bought the Maxicosi Pebble to go with it and had initial problems getting it in and out of the frame but got new adapters and found that they were the problem. Also a little spray lubricant helped.

Robust, well built and stylish
We changed to an iCandy Apple (4 wheel version purchased with the carrycot and colour pack £639) in October 2010 after Babystyle failed to deliver an Oyster, despite it being ordered over 3 months prior. iCandy however delivered to the shop within just over a week and we have been very pleased with our purchase. It is very robust and has excellent ride quality with rear suspension etc - Nb we found that the 'lightweight' buggies that Which? seem to favour in their reviews were very jittery when you pushed them (not dissimilar in principle to driving a very small lightweight car). The Apple however is extremely smooth, probably because it is a bit heavier! This is a trade off you need to consider before purchasing. We have cars with decent boots (Ford Focus sized) and find it easy to collapse the iCandy Apple buggy, lift it and fit it into our cars. If it is relevant to you we have really enjoyed using the Apple because of how well built it is and how it looks - we regularly get positive comments about how stylish it is. Probably not the main factor for buying but it's nice to own something which looks good. Recommended and worth the premium. Ps we also considered the Quinny but wanted a bigger shopping basket.
