Maclaren strollers all have a buckle that is deliberately difficult to undo, to stop naughty toddlers from escaping - the trick to opening it easily is to squeeze the front and back of the buckle together - it makes it much easier! We rate more than 40 different aspects of pushchair usability and remove points for some of the areas that we consider to be most important. Difficulty of adjusting the restraints and buckles is included in our assessment, but is not a major enough factor for most parents, for a difficult buckle to actually cause a pushchair to lose points.
