We've had this for several months now and have found it invaluable when over at grandparents, aunties & uncles, etc. Our baby is 15 months old though so I think it is only useful for a baby/child that can sit upright on their own. We got it for less than a tenner, doesn't take up any space and it's one of the best bits of baby kit we have. That being said our child wouldn't spend ages in it and it only works on sturdy high backed dining room chairs.

We bought this while visiting family for my then 7 month old son. We used it on all sizes of chair, and generally found it to be of very poor design. It is hard to tighten the straps adequately on the chair, and difficult to get the waist band to sit high enough on his body. This meant he tipped forward and sideways, so we needed two of us there at feeding times - one to hold the bowl and feed him, the other to catch him if he slipped (he is a very stron sitter so this was not due to his balance being off).
