Hospital car parking Hospital car parks map
All NHS hospital car parks should provide a system that is easy and fair for patients, and doesn't make a hospital visit more stressful. That's why we're campaigning for better NHS hospital car parks.
We've plotted the hospitals we examined in our NHS hospital car park investigation. Zoom in to your area to see how your hospital fared. Why not share a hospital car parking experience - good or bad - with the chief executive of your hospital. Follow the link and customise our template letter to ask them to support the Which? campaign.

The map above displays results for hospitals in England only as it is difficult to make a fair comparison, like-for-like, between hospital car parks in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Northern Irish trusts have control over their car parking charges, but mandatory concessions are in place for certain groups of patients. In Scotland, car parking charges were abolished in 2008, with the exception of hospitals built using private finance initiative contracts. Charges were also abolished in Wales in 2008, except in hospitals with existing external contracts.
The map shows how hospitals scored against our three main judging criteria:
- support for priority patients
- charging and payment options
- talking to patients and visitors.
If a hospital performed well against some criteria but was found to be a frequent clamper or have issued an excessive number of tickets, then their overall score has been lowered as a result.
