Audi has carved itself a very successful niche as the premium brand in the VW Group portfolio. It's now a very credible alternative to the other German prestige brands, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. 

To some extent, Audis can be regarded as expensive Volkswagens, since they share much of VW's engineering and platforms, but Audi can boast much of its own innovative technology. 

Owners seem to love their Audis but the hard statistics from Which? readers show that reliability is poor and dealer satisfaction merely average.
