The DS3 is Citroen's attempt to produce a posh supermini to rival the Mini - a design-led, stylish and well-equipped small car with a wide range of options for personalisation and customisation. It's actually cheaper than the latest C3 on which it's based, however (the C3's a more practical five-door, the DS3 three-door only) and it's an interesting proposition. New Citroën DS3 reviews

The Citroen DS3 isn't the cheapest of superminis, but it comes well-equipped, and whilst it's not yet as heavily-discounted as some other models in the Citroen range, there are ways to save: Citroen dealers are already putting out pre-registered and ex-demo cars with minimal mileage at a couple of grand off, often packed with plenty of optional goodies.

Used Citroën DS3 reviews

There are already plenty of DS3s around secondhand to choose from - nearly all at Citroen dealers as yet - and the first sub-£10,000 examples (2010-registered) have been spotted. You can afford to be picky over specification, and a lightly-used, low-mileage DS3 with correct service history can be bought an awful lot cheaper than a comparable Mini.
