Dodge car reviews

Dodge is yet another American brand that's a relative newcomer to the UK market. Its range of models is very limited but essentially very American, being based on Chrysler and Jeep platforms. Its main raison d'etre is offering well-equipped large cars at relatively cheap prices.

Being such a small player in the UK market, it's difficult to judge Dodge's performance, but the story from sister company Chrysler isn't good.

    Dodge Nitro 1

The Dodge Nitro is a sister model to the Jeep Cherokee but doesn't have quite as much off-road ability. This is more a lifestyle car than a serious mud-plugger. Discontinued in 2010, when the Dodge brand was withdrawn from the UK, it could make sense as a cheap secondhand caravan-tower.

  • Dodge Caliber reviews

    1 review available (2006 - 2009) | Used price: from £4,695

    Dodge Caliber 5

High-calibre isn't the way we'd describe the big Dodge hatchback. It may be cheap, but we wouldn't recommend the Caliber for a number of reasons: it performed badly in our accident avoidance and braking tests, the handling leaves a lot to be desired, the ride is harsh and the engines are noisy.
