To find out if snow socks are an easy-to-live with, affordable alternative to winter tyres, we conducted a quick test of one set on a small family car.
We paid £50 for our AutoSocks and fitted them to a Renault Modus mini MPV. In our brief test we found that they significantly improved grip on fresh and compacted snow.
