The Hyundai Getz was available from 2000 to 2009 and is a supermini, competing when it was new, with Which? member favourites like the Honda Jazz and Toyota Yaris. The Hyundai Elantra was available from 2001 to 2006 and is a medium hatchback, competing when it was new, with the likes of the Toyota Corolla and the Kia Cerato. It doesn’t cut the mustard for safety compared to its better competitors, and is hopeless on security. But Hyundai owner satisfaction is good and they are cheap to buy, if perhaps somewhat rough round the edges.
