The Hyundai Santa Fe is Hyundai’s compact 4x4 and was launched in 2006. It sells in a highly competitive niche market and competes against long established models like the Toyota Rav4 and Land Rover Freelander. It has plenty of space and is good value for money compared to the competition. Hyundai brand reliability and owner satisfaction are high.

New Hyundai Santa Fe reviews

The Hyundai Santa Fe was launched in 2006, and even back then its styling was seen as fairly plain and conservative, especially compared to more modern-looking competitors like the Mazda CX-7 and the Ford Kuga. It isn’t the most reliable car in its class, but with a five-year warranty, you shouldn’t have too many worries driving one.

    New price: £23 605 - £29 315

The post-2006 Hyundai Santa Fe has more palatable styling than before and a seven-seat option. How does it fare against the likes of Honda's CR-V?

Used Hyundai Santa Fe reviews

As a used car, the Hyundai Santa Fe is potentially comparatively cheap to buy and run compared to say a Land Rover Freelander or a Honda CRV. The Santa Fe has few major weaknesses, and its handling is good for the class, but the power output from the 2.2 ltr diesel we tested left us wanting more.
