Land Rover car reviews

Mud-pluggers right across the world swear by Land Rovers - and occasionally swear at them, too. While no one doubts the sheer ability of the British-made range of 4x4 vehicles, many owners do question its build quality.

Like sister brand Jaguar, Land Rover is now owned by the Indian industrial giant Tata. It needs to make significant efforts to boost Land Rover's flagging reputation for reliability: it currently languishes in bottom place in our reader reliability survey, although encouragingly its dealers are rated above average.

Land Rover Discovery reviews

The Land Rover Discovery is a true go-anywhere off-roader, and yet it's still very comfortable - even luxurious - on the road. Newer versions of the Discovery are almost unique in offering spacious seating for seven adults.

Land Rover Freelander reviews

Land Rover's Freelander is the firm's 'soft-roader' - aimed more at families than those aiming to take on muddy tracks. It doesn't offer the off-road ability of the other cars in the Land Rover range, and it is fairly expensive to run.

Land Rover Range Rover reviews

Land Rover started the whole luxury SUV phenomenon with the Range Rover way back in 1970. Now in its third generation, it remains an iconic vehicle. It's at once a luxury car, a convincing off-roader and practical family transport.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport reviews

The Range Rover Sport is the standard Range Rover's more stylish twin, although it is hardly much smaller than the standard car. It's luxurious inside and hugely capable on the road, but you have to pay handsomely for that - new prices are steep. Some people might also be put off the Range Rover Sport by the 'footballer's car' image.
