Saab car reviews

Swedish brand Saab has performed well in sales terms in the UK in recent years as an alternative to German prestige brands, offering slightly quirky products with a unique sense of Scandinavian design. Saab was owned for over 20 years by the American giant General Motors, but in 2010 it was sold to supercar manufacturer and erstwhile Formula 1 team, Spyker.

As for the cars themselves, there's a curious divide between owners' experiences at the point of sale (good overall) and reliability in service (very poor).

Saab 9-3 reviews

The 9-3 looks smart and wears an upmarket badge, although it's basically a Vauxhall Vectra underneath. Yes, you read that right - a Vectra, not the current Vauxhall Insignia. That means the smallest Saab has been on sale for nine years now - ancient in car terms. Still, there are a few reasons to consider it, and the four-seat convertible is a popular choice.

Saab 9-5 reviews

The Saab 9-5 is a large executive car that competes with the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-class. A new model was launched in 2010 - a considerable achievement given that Saab sold was sold by General Motors to tiny Dutch company Spyker around the same time. We've tested both the old (1997-2010) and current (2010-) models.
