The Skoda Superb is either a step too far for Volkswagen's budget brand or one of the most underrated luxury cars around, depending on your badge-snobbery. First-generation models (2002-2008) were saloon-only; the Mk2 (2008-) has a curious saloon/hatchback hybrid tailgate for better practicality, and an estate arrived in 2010. Does the Superb live up to its (historic) name? Check out the full Which? verdict.

New Skoda Superb reviews

The Skoda Superb five-door and estate are both handsome models with class-leading dimensions, and they're excellent value for money despite prices of up to £25,000 or so. The interior quality is high, and there's a wealth of options, from a solar sunroof to four-wheel drive and a 3.6-litre V6 engine. The 2.0 TDI CR diesels are the most sensible options, however.

Used Skoda Superb reviews

The Skoda Superb has not held its value particularly well, though it is still desirable secondhand. Early saloons are now cheap - many have clocked up monster mileages, a testament to longterm durability - but the Mk2 models are still dear; it'll be a while before the estates are available in large numbers secondhand, too.
