How does Toyota's new family 4x4 shape up against rivals like Ford Kuga, Honda CR-V and VW Tiguan? -
Toyota RAV4 (2006-2013)
New price: £24,295 - £29,066
The third version of Toyota's soft-roader combines the practicality of a 4x4 with the road manners of a hatchback. A sure rival for the Mazda CX-7.
Used Toyota RAV4 reviews
The RAV4 is priced to compete directly with the Honda CR-V, and it holds its value very well. The petrol version is rather thirsty, raising its VED tax band, but insurance is reasonable (groups 11-13). Servicing is reasonably-priced for this type of vehicle.
