New Volkswagen reviews
Volkswagen Beetle reviews
The new Volkswagen Beetle has been in the current guise for over ten years, after the model was relaunched in 1999. It was the first deliberately retro car, but has since been surpassed by the Mini and the Fiat 500. Based on a ‘90s Volkswagen Golf, it hasn’t been updated, but any issues have been ironed out.

Volkswagen Eos reviews
The metal folding roof might be the party piece of the Volkswagen Eos, but this coupe-cabriolet boasts a high quality interior finish, refined exterior looks and a good quality drive, too. It is priced at a premium though, even in the most basic specification. And although the folding roof is great for showing off, it does restrict the Eos’ boot space and room in the back.

Volkswagen Golf reviews
Now in its sixth generation, the Volkswagen Golf continues to be a top seller in the UK and abroad. Historically, the VW Golf is known for being well-made, great to drive and safe. Model and engine ranges are broad, with small capacity engines fitting into affordable insurance bands for young driver. And who could forget the original hot hatch, the Golf GTI, which continues to set the trend for powerful but practical hatchbacks.

Volkswagen Golf Plus reviews
The Volkswagen Golf Plus is a more spacious version of the standard five-door Golf, benefiting from more headroom and enough space to seat three in the back in relative comfort. Like the standard VW Golf, the Golf Plus has a big boot capacity compared to the cars in its category, too. The Golf Plus finds itself fitting somewhere between a full-on MPV and an estate, offering a new option to anyone looking for a good-sized family car.

Volkswagen Jetta reviews
The Jetta badge has always signified a Volkswagen Golf with a boot on it - and that's still the best way to look at the VW Jetta. In terms of size and price, it sits between the VW Golf and Passat, offering a cheaper rival to saloons like the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series. The Jetta disappeared from the new car lists in 2010.

Volkswagen Passat reviews
The VW Passat badge goes right back to the 1970s but it really came of age with the the generation sold from 2000 to 2005 - a real quality act. The newer Passat sold from 2005 offers good value, especially compared with premium brands like Audi and BMW, while boasting more than a modicum of premium feel.

Volkswagen Scirocco reviews
1 review available (2008 - 2010) | Used price: from £13,995
Volkswagen's Scirocco can be viewed as a kind of VW Golf sports coupe - sharper, more stylish and more fun to drive than the Golf on which it's based. However, the accommodation and boot space are inevitably more limited.

Volkswagen Passat CC reviews
1 review available (2008 - 2011) | Used price: from £13,095
Think of the Volkswagen Passat CC as a cut-price Mercedes-Benz CLS or Audi A5 Sportback - a four-door saloon with appealingly sleek coupe styling. Although pricier and less practical than the regular Passat that it's based on, the CC does have plenty of showroom appeal, and drives well too.

Volkswagen Tiguan reviews
1 review available (2008 - 2011) | Used price: from £12,650
With the Tiguan, Volkswagen has done in the compact 4x4 market what it did with its Touareg full-size off-roader: it's created a winner. The VW Golf-based Tiguan is a strong rival for the likes of the Ford Kuga, Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.

Volkswagen Touran reviews
1 review available (2003 - 2010) | Used price: from £3,925
The Volkswagen Touran provides safe, flexible family transport in a compact, Golf-sized package. It's a great alternative to a Renault Grand Scenic or Vauxhall Zafira, and like them it offers seven seats in three rows. While the VW Touran is a great all-rounder, reliability seems to be an issue.
