  • NEW PRICE: £15,885 - £24,300
  • USED PRICE: From £5,095

The Volkswagen Golf Plus is a more spacious version of the standard five-door Golf, benefiting from more headroom and enough space to seat three in the back in relative comfort. Like the standard VW Golf, the Golf Plus has a big boot capacity compared to the cars in its category, too. The Golf Plus finds itself fitting somewhere between a full-on MPV and an estate, offering a new option to anyone looking for a good-sized family car.

New Volkswagen Golf Plus reviews

Like the Volkswagen Golf hatchback, the Golf Plus is priced at the top end of the market compared to competitors. The most basic option is just over £16k, however the 1.2 TSI motor may struggle to shift this small MPV. The 1.6 TDI 105 BlueMotion Tech will return over 65mpg, and servicing costs and insurance is reasonable throughout the range, making it reasonable to live with.

Sitting between the regular Golf and Touran in Volkswagen's range is the Golf Plus. Essentially a mini MPV, based on the Golf model.

Used Volkswagen Golf Plus reviews

Although the Volkswagen Golf Plus shares many of the same attributes of its smaller Golf hatchback cousin, one feature it doesn’t share is retaining its value. A Volkswagen Golf Plus will depreciates faster than the conventional Golf, which is good news for second hand buyers. However, it does face difficult competition from the Renault Scenic and Citroen Xsara Picasso in the used market.
