The Jetta badge has always signified a Volkswagen Golf with a boot on it - and that's still the best way to look at the VW Jetta. In terms of size and price, it sits between the VW Golf and Passat, offering a cheaper rival to saloons like the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series. The Jetta disappeared from the new car lists in 2010.

New Volkswagen Jetta reviews

The Volkswagen Jetta is based on the last-generation VW Golf Mk5 - it's basically a Golf with a saloon boot added on. It's a perfectly good car with many strenghts, but if you need extra practicality from a Golf, why not consider a Golf Estate instead?

The Jetta is essentially a Golf MK5 with a boot, but it strongly resembles the larger Passat. Its only real rivals are the Volvo S40 and Seat Exeo.

Used Volkswagen Jetta reviews

The Volkswagen Jetta four-door saloon was made between 2006 and 2010 but was never as popular as the VW Golf hatchback or the larger Passat saloon. It's not as sought-after as the Golf a used car, though, so this might be a good option if you're looking for a Golf experience at a lower price.
