Volvo car reviews Volvo C30 reviews

  • NEW PRICE: £15,145 - £25,680
  • USED PRICE: From £7,275

The Volvo C30 entered the small family hatchback market in January 2007, going head-to-head with the Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series. It shares many of the same components as the popular Ford Focus, but the Volvo C30's looks are a lot more distinctive and it has a well-built and eye-catching interior. There are three petrol and two diesel engine sizes, and there are economy-optimised Volvo C30 diesels carrying the DRIVe badge.

New Volvo C30 reviews

Volvo has tried to cover all based with engine options in the Volvo C30 - economy-optimised 1.6-litre diesels have stop-start technology and claim a 74.3mpg return (however, we found these figures optimistic) while the 2.5-litre T5 R DESIGN uses the same engine as the Ford Focus ST and boasts a 0-62mph figure of 6.7 seconds. It does only come in a three-door hatch rather than offering a five-door or estate version (typical of Volvo), and the Volvo C30 shape makes it more of a sport-coupé than a family hatchback.

    New price: £15,145 - £25,680

The C30 takes aim at cars like the Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series. The question is, is it good enough? Our road testers have been taking notes.

Used Volvo C30 reviews

The Volvo C30 goes up against the Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series in the family hatchback market, and prices are pretty much in-line with the competition. With the becoming available in 2007, Volvo C30s are only just starting to come up for sale used recently. Prices are likely to hold firmer with the economy focussed Volvo C30 models.
