To complain about a misleading sale

Dear Sir/ Madam
(Reference: business name and address)
I wish to complain about a misleading price indication made by the above business. On (date) I attempted to buy (goods) from (business name) during a sale. The price of the goods was indicated as follows (describe what the price was, and whether any reduction was mentioned). However, I discovered that (explain why the price indication was misleading, for example, reductions were applied to only some items, or were not as much as claimed, or the claimed price before reduction was not true).
I understand that it is a criminal offence under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Practices Regulations 2008 for traders to give misleading price indications about the goods that they sell to consumers. I am also informed that retailers should adopt honest practices during sales.
I ask you, as the enforcement agency of this legislation, to look into this matter with a view to exercising your powers to stop misleading price indications.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Sir/ Madam
(Reference: details of purchase)
I purchased (item) from you on (date). When I bought it, the sales assistant explained that the (item) was reduced because it had (details of any faults brought to your attention).
I subsequently discovered that the (item) has the following additional faults: (details). When I returned the (item) to you, you refused to accept it stating that under the terms of your sales returns policy, no refunds will be given.
The Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 make it clear that any contract term that attempts to exclude or restrict my statutory rights will be unenforceable. The term you refer to has the effect of taking away my right to reject goods that are defective and therefore is unfair and unenforceable.
I would invite you to reconsider your decision but should warn that should you not be prepared to provide the refund I am entitled to I will be forced to take court action to recover this sum. Furthermore I will report your contract terms to Trading Standards.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
