Epilators Panasonic ES2067 Wet and Dry epilator

Panasonic wet and dry ES2067 epilator

This innovative new epilator is meant to be less painful to use than rival models. Not only does the Panasonic ES2067 use three spinning discs to whisk out unwanted hair, but it is also suitable for using wet or dry.

Each of the three small discs on the main epilating head spin and rotate in a different direction, as well as move up and down independently to follow the contours of your skin. This multi-directional action is intended to catch hairs quickly and reduce the amount of time spent epilating.

We tried the main epilating head wet and dry on the lower leg, then the small epilating head wet and dry on the underarm area.

Using the Panasonic ES2067 epilator

Though the Panasonic ES2067 is quite good at minimising pain, we found it took longer to use than other epilators we've tried. We also needed to go over the same area more times than is comfortable in order to remove all the hairs.

The main epilating head worked better when used dry. When we tried it in the shower, it was tricky to spot leg hairs through the soap suds and it took so long that the epilating discs needed re-soaping repeatedly.

It was a similar story trying to use the epilator's bikini line/underarm head on the underarm area. It was OK but slow when used dry; when used wet it took so long that we ended up swapping back to the main head.

The Panasonic wet and dry ES2067 is available direct from Panasonic or from retailers including John Lewis, Amazon.co.uk and Shavers.co.uk, priced from around £70, though epilators are often on special offer so if you search around, you should be able to save £20-£30 on the standard selling price.

Pros: Versatile (you can use it in the bath where it may cause less pain), slightly less painful than other epilators we've tested in the past

Cons: It’s expensive, excessive effort needed to remove all the hairs, confusing instructions, fiddly buttons for changing the heads
