The new Burgon and Ball Draw Hoe has a long wooden handle and a sharpened stainless-steel head. Endorsed by the RHS, the hoe costs £26.95 and is an attractive-looking tool. We gave it a quick hands-on test to see whether its performance could match its good looks.
Darlac Children’s Bamboo Garden Tools
With bamboo handles and coated carbon-steel heads, Darlac says these children’s tools are well finished and robust. Each piece has been hand welded so that the tools are strong and durable.

Felco 231 Anvil Loppers
Promising to be reliable, efficient and ergonomic, the Felco 231 Anvil Loppers are made from high-grade forged aluminium with tough steel blades. Felco claims they cut effortlessly through branches and timber, with a curved cutting head designed to keep the branch close to the central axis.
Which? Gardening put them through their paces to see if they are worth their high price tag (£169.99).
