About British Gas boilers

UK-based British Gas is the UK's largest energy supplier, and also installs boilers. As well as installing branded boilers, it sells its own models, including the British Gas 330+ and the British Gas 5 series range of combi boilers.

British Gas gas boiler range

The British Gas 330+ heat-only boiler has a built-in energy use indicator, which enables you to monitor gas consumption and compare trends over a seven-day period. Unusually it is a 'one size fits all' boiler, how much heat it can give out is set by the installer, so it doesn't come in a range of different heat output 'sizes'. It was developed for British Gas by Glow-worm. 

The 5 series range of combination boilers was developed by Worcester and comes in three different heat outputs.

The average customer score is 71% and the average reliability score is 71%. Both of these figures are based on responses from 1,706 condensing gas boiler owners who have bought a boiler since April 2005. We did not have enough respondents to our survey to calculate the most common faults.

Warranties and servicing

The length of the warranty supplied with a British Gas boiler depends which manufacturer developed the boiler for British Gas, they are usually 12 to 24 months. 

New installations receive 12-month British Gas Homecare boiler repair cover.

British gas offers boiler installations, maintenance and heating repair services including one-off repairs and boiler servicing contracts.
