Best oven brands: Best brands overview

In this guide, our experts share what they’ve learnt about each of the biggest oven brands, to help you decide which might best suit you.

Bear in mind that this guide only offers brand overviews, so for full reviews of each of the ovens we’ve tested, make sure you check out our individual built-in oven reviews.

How Which? tests ovens

In the Which? lab we test ovens on a wide range of criteria including oven heat distribution, evenness of grilling, accuracy of controls, speed of preheating, ease of cleaning and ease of use. We give each oven a star rating for each of these criteria, and award the highest-scoring models Best Buy status.

As well as testing ovens in our lab, we also survey thousands of oven owners to find out how happy they are with their brand of oven and whether they’ve had any problems with the model they own. We then calculate a reliability score and customer satisfaction score for each brand.

Check out our ovens reviews for more details on how we test, to see the test results for each oven we’ve tested, and to find out which are Best Buys.
