Where to find Bosch dishwasher parts

Bosch dishwashers are a popular choice for many UK homes, with a product range featuring 60cm-wide dishwashers, slimline 45cm-wide models and compact dishwashers you can put on your kitchen top.

But when things go wrong, how easy is it to track down Bosch dishwasher parts and get your appliance in working order?

Buying Bosch dishwasher parts

If you're having problems with your Bosch dishwasher or need to order a spare part, getting in touch with the company itself is usually the first option. Bosch offers a product advice line and online help centre designed to assist you with product problems and breakdowns. The Bosch website also contains downloadable instruction manuals and maintenance tips.

For buying Bosch dishwasher parts, visit the manufacturer's own spares and accessories eShop, where you can order genuine spare parts. You'll need your dishwasher model number to hand.

Other places to find cheap Bosch dishwasher parts

Bosch dishwasher spares are also available to buy from various other online stores, including Espares, Partmaster, and BuySpares, so it's worth shopping around to find the best deal.

It's important to choose a reputable spare parts stockist, as well as comparing shops to get the best price. Domestic appliance body Amdea recommends customers always choose genuine and approved spare parts made by the manufacturer, otherwise you may invalidate your product guarantee.

Bosch guarantee

If you register your one-year Bosch appliance guarantee online when you buy your dishwasher, you'll get a second year's free cover. The guarantee covers faulty workmanship or materialsbut you'll invalidate the guarantee if you've used a repairer not recommended by Bosch during this period, or if your dishwasher hasn't been correctly installed.

Find a dishwasher repairer

If you're looking for a professional to fix your Bosch dishwasher, you could contact Bosch to arrange for an authorised repairer to visit you. If your appliance is no longer under guarantee, Bosch charges a fixed rate of £85 (£95 inside the M25) for a dishwasher repairer call-out, with all repairs guaranteed for a year. But you'll have to pay extra for replacement parts, which – depending on the job – could prove expensive.

You might be better off contacting a local independent for a cheaper repair option – and you're definitely better off getting a few different quotes to compare. When we called 150 independent repairers in January 2010 to get a quote for replacing a broken motor on an Indesit dishwasher, prices ranged from £80 to £200.
