Morphy Richards breadmaker reviews

We test how well a breadmaker bakes bread and we run multiple tests on each model. We also rate each breadmaker on a range of additional criteria, including noise and ease of use, and have found a significant difference between the best and worst models

We bake three loaves each of white bread, wholemeal bread and speciality seeded bread. We then bake three white loaves using the delay timer. Each loaf is awarded a score, which takes into account its crust, appearance, taste, texture and odour.

Morphy Richard breadmakers have achieved varying success in our lab tests. Most models score well for baking wholemeal and seeded bread and scores range from poor to average for baking a standard white loaf. If you’re considering buying a specific Morphy Richards breadmaker, check how well it scores on a variety of other criteria by visiting our breadmaker test results.

Because you can’t tell how noisy a breadmaker will be just by looking at it in a shop, we rate each model for noise. Most breadmakers are fairly quiet, except for the kneading process – so this is generally what we rate noise on. Morphy Richards models tend to achieve average to good scores for noise levels, and they achieved average to excellent scores for ease of use and ease of cleaning.

If you’re thinking about buying a new breadmaker but aren’t sure which will best suit you, you can use our compare breadmakers tool to find a food processor that fits your budget or that scores particularly well on a specific task, such as baking wholemeal bread or making jam.
