New World cookers

New World, which is part of the Glen Dimplex Group, offers a range of single and double cookers.

We’ve run extensive tests on seven New World cookers in our test lab, including the ES50S and E60D electric cookers, plus the G55T and 50HLG gas cookers. To find out how each model scored, visit our cooker reviews area.

The New World cookers we’ve tested typically cost between £200 and £400. You can use our compare cookers tool to find a cooker that suits your budget.

New World cooker reviews

We test cookers on a wide range of criteria in the Which? test lab and New World cookers have varied considerably. Most models score well for hob performance and ease of cleaning and tend to achieve average to excellent scores for oven performance.

However, scores for grilling vary a lot – with some models scoring excellently and other models getting poor or even very poor scores. If you’re considering buying a specific New World cooker, check how well it scores on a variety of criteria, by visiting our cooker test results.

Our lab tests for cookers are very thorough. For example, when testing oven performance we look at preheating time, accuracy of controls and heat distribution. To test this we time how long the oven takes to reach the desired temperature when we set it to 150°, 180° and 200°C.

We use probes to test the accuracy of the temperature controls and bake cakes to check the evenness of baking at different levels in the oven. A good oven will produce evenly raised golden cakes in all positions.

As well as testing cookers in our lab, we also survey thousands of cooker owners to find out how happy they are with their cooker brand and whether they’d recommend it to a friend. Check out our owner’s views page to find out how New World rates for customer satisfaction.
