Samsung fridge freezer reviews

In our lab tests, Samsung fridge freezers tend to score excellently for ease of defrosting and for noise. They also achieve good to excellent scores for fridge and freezer temperature stability and for uniform fridge temperature, which is important as it means you don’t need to store certain foods in particular places

Samsung models generally score average to well for fridge power (how quickly the fridge cools to the correct temperature) but scores for freezer power (the amount of food it can freeze to -18°C in 24 hours) range from good to poor. If you’re considering buying a specific Samsung fridge freezer, check how well it scores for a variety of criteria by visiting our fridge freezer test results.

Three of the Samsung fridge freezers we’ve tested come with an ice maker, which is a nice luxury, although they can take up a fair bit of space in the freezer and will need to be plumbed into the mains. If you want ice on demand, you can use our compare fridge freezers tool to identify all the models we’ve tested that come with ice makers.

When choosing a fridge freezer, you will probably want to consider how much it will cost you to run. After central heating, your fridge freezer is likely to be biggest energy user in your home, so finding one that’s cheap to run could save you money.

Annual running costs for Samsung fridge freezers range from £43 to £92 a year, so make sure you check the specifications of each model in the fridge freezers reviews to find the most efficient model for your home.
