In the Which? lab we test each microwave on a wide range of criteria, and have found a fairly significant difference between the best and worst Panasonic microwaves.
Scores for speed of cooking range from excellent to poor, as do scores for evenness of cooking. However, all the models we’ve tested have achieved average to excellent scores for quality of food and all score well or excellent for ease of use.
Ease of use scores are calculated based on a range of factors including how easy it is to open and close the door, load and unload the oven, set the clock, read the display, use the power and time controls, and how much effort it takes to clean the microwave.

Some Panasonic microwaves score excellently for defrosting performance and most models score well for cooking a jacket potato. However, several models score poorly for grilling toast.
