Samsung microwaves

Korean brand Samsung offers a wide range of microwaves, including several microwaves with grills and a couple of combination microwaves.

We’ve run extensive tests on 11 Samsung microwaves in our test lab, including the CE137NTM-B/XEU, GE109M-S/XEU and MW82N-B/XEU models. To find out how each scored, visit the Which? microwaves review.

The Samsung microwaves we’ve tested typically cost from £65 to £150, although one model costs more than £200. You can use our compare microwaves tool to find a model that suits your budget.

Samsung microwave reviews

In the Which? lab we test microwaves on a wide range of criteria, including speed, quality and evenness of cooking, defrosting ability and ease of use. We also test how well each microwave cooks a jacket potato and, if it has the ability, a whole chicken, a tray of toast and a batch of cakes.

The Samsung microwaves we’ve tested tend to score well or excellently for speed of cooking and ease of use. Several models also score excellently for quality of food and most models score well for cooking a jacket potato.

However, scores for defrosting range from excellent to poor and several models score poorly for evenness of cooking. If you’re considering buying specific Panasonic microwave, check how well it scores for evenness of cooking and a variety of other criteria, by visiting our microwave test results.

To test how evenly a microwave cooks food we use a substance called TX151 which is bright blue and has a similar consistency to a lasagne when cooked. We heat this in the microwave and use heat probes to check whether it is left with hot or cold spots when cooked. The best microwaves will heat food to the same temperature throughout.

You can use our compare microwaves tool to find a model that scores particularly well for evenness of cooking.
