Sharp microwave reviews
In the Which? lab we test microwaves on a wide range of criteria, and have found a significant difference between the best and worst models.
Sharp microwaves have achieved varying success in our tough tests, highlighting the importance of choosing a microwave by model, rather than by brand.
Scores for speed of cooking range significantly, with one model scoring excellently and others very poorly. Scores for quality of food and evenness of cooking also range from excellent to very poor.
However, all the models we’ve tested score well for ease of use and most models score well for cooking a jacket potato. One model scores excellently for grilling toast and another scores well for roasting a whole chicken.
If you’re considering buying a specific Sharp microwave, check how well it scores on a variety of criteria by visiting our microwave test results.
When testing speed of cooking, we measure how long a microwave takes to heat a ready meal to a minimum of 70°C. If you want a microwave that cooks particularly quickly, check the speed of cooking scores for each microwave in our microwave reviews.
