Swan microwave reviews
In the Which? lab we test microwaves on a wide range of criteria, including speed, quality and evenness of cooking, defrosting ability and ease of use. The Swan microwaves we’ve tested tend to score well or excellently for defrosting and most models score well for ease of use.
Several models score excellently for speed of cooking, but one model scores poorly. Plus a couple of models score poorly for evenness of cooking and scores for quality of food range from excellent to poor.
To test the quality of food cooked by a microwave, we use a substance called TX151 which is bright blue and has a similar consistency to a lasagne when cooked.
We cook identical trays of this substance in each microwave, and measure the amount of water that it loses during the cooking process. The best microwaves will cook the food without drying it out.
If you’re considering buying a specific Swan microwave, check how well it scores on a variety of criteria, by visiting our microwave test results.
