How Which? tests ovens
In the Which? lab we test ovens on a wide range of criteria including oven heat distribution, evenness of grilling, accuracy of controls, speed of preheating, ease of cleaning and ease of use. We give each oven a star rating for each of these criteria, and award the best-performing models Best Buy status.
As well as testing ovens in our lab, we also survey thousands of oven owners to find out how happy they are with their brand and whether they’ve had any problems with their model. We then calculate a reliability score and customer satisfaction score for each brand.
Check out our ovens reviews for more details on how we test, to see the test results for each individual oven we’ve tested, and to find out which are Best Buys.
