Siemens ovens
German brand Siemens, part of the Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group (BSH), offers a wide range of ovens, which are split into four function levels – iQ100, iQ300, iQ500 and iQ700.
We’ve run extensive tests on two Siemens ovens in our test lab – the HB55M550B and HB13NB621B. To find out how they scored, visit the Which? ovens review.
The Siemens ovens we’ve tested typically cost between £700 and £1,000. If these ovens don’t suit your budget, you can use our compare ovens tool to find one that does.
Siemens ovens reviews
In our tough lab tests, Siemens ovens typically score well for accuracy of controls, oven heat distribution and evenness of grilling.
To test grilling performance we cover the grill tray with crustless white bread, place it under a hot grill and assess the size and evenness of the toasted area. Some poorly performing grills only manage to toast about 50% of the bread.
Siemens ovens also tend to score well for ease of cleaning, however scores for ease of use range from excellent to average and one model scores poorly for preheating speed.
If you’re considering buying a Siemens oven, check how well it scores on a variety of criteria, by visiting our ovens test results. Here you will also find our compare ovens tool which can help you find an oven that best suits your needs.
Both Siemens ovens we’ve tested are childproof and have catalytic liners. This means they have rough surfaces inside, which catch, absorb and break down food spills. These are burned away during normal cooking, and this should make your oven walls easier to keep clean.
As well as testing ovens in our lab, we also survey thousands of ovens owners to find out how happy they are with their oven brand and whether they’d recommend it to a friend.
