The fruit dispenser operates too late in the second mix phase, so the fruit is not distributed properly; I have to tip the fruit in by hand at 30 mins into the cycle, which I often forget to do.The display is too feeble in ambient light and the symbol logic, probably very elegant in engineering terms, is not intuitive. I still make a muck of any new choices and have not yet worked out how to cancel and start again. There is a loaf symbol to show when the bread is done, but it can be seen beforehand in an only-slightly attenuated form; I have to watch the time display to find if the bread is cooked - when it loses a minute, the cycle is not complete; when it gains, the system is in the 1 hour period of hot storage. The paddle has got very stiff (although well cleaned and oiled). If I do not make sure it is upright, it will fail to stir the mix and the result after three hours will be useless and vaguely disgusting. Pros: Cons:

The MR does not produce good bread- it is sunken in the middle, as if it has not had enough time to rise. Bread mixes are the same as following the recipes, which are in old measurements! has anyone else had this problem? Pros: Cons:

It's interesting that you rate it 5 stars for packet mixes because that's become the usual route for me. Wrights bread mix's come out perfectly every time and with the timer delay, this means great fresh bread every morning. I agree the paddle is an issue, but for some reason after the first month it started to work properly rather than get stuck in the bread. I've also been happy with many of the other recipes but I can't confess to being an expert and the pre mixes produce better bread. Pros: Cons:

We hope you’ve had better success following the two previous occasions, however if you’re still having trouble please let us know and we may be able to offer some advice. @david.ison Breadmakers which produce a ‘long’ loaf generally have two paddles, but we’ve found that these can sometimes lead to uneven kneading. The bread pans on the new range of Morphy Richards models are more horizontal than the pans on the older models (which were more square shaped and tall, as you can see on the video); and we agree - despite having a paddle which folds down it still leaves a hole in the bottom of the loaf. In the even it wasnt and I realised I had been confused by the which? video about it saying it was a long pan. It turns out that most breadmakers are like this, and only the older ones are 'deep pan'. I can only say they must be very deep indeed. As regards this one, I must say the paddle is a disaster so far. It has to be picked out from the bread, leaving a wide hole at the base of it. O.K. so its shallower than the previous one, but it looks terrible. The older fixed one was much better on my old machine, coming out of the bread cleanly with the pan, and only leaving a narrow slit. I'm thinking about reverting to the old paddle from my old machine. So far this aspect has really annoyed me, and there are a few others brewing up...... Pros: Cons:
