This innovative multifunction electric oven is unusual, because although technically a single oven, it can be divided into two independent sections and used as a double oven. This could be a useful extra, but we wanted to find out whether the Samsung BQ1S6T077 built-in oven could perform basic cooking tasks as well as its rivals can; is it really two ovens in one?

Fantastic oven. It spends most of its time in the 2 oven mode when it is excellent for heating plates while the main meal is cooking. Using a smaller oven means quicker heating & less cost. The controls can take a while to get used to but once mastered it does everything.

Consistency of heating is quite poor as dishes often come out partly burned around the edges and i don't beleive that two chambers are properly isolated. The biggest problem with the oven though is cleaning. The steam clean is a joke as it doesn't do anything at all and you need to scrub it hard to get the grease out. The grill is too close to the top chamber, it's not removable and there is no cover you can put while it's not in use. As a result you can spend half a day trying to get the grease out behind the grill.

It is well made, better built than the AEG it replaced.The end of the 'preheat the oven to ...' you simply switch on, set the temp and in less than 5 minutes it's on the temp required.Self cleaning like our cat.Energy-wise it is an economical option as the two compartments can be operated separably. If you use the entire oven it is large enough for a large Turkey or a long goose.One year and nothing gone wrong touch wood.The only small issue so far is poor drainage of water vapour, we bake many cakes that do well if you put little water in the tray and this tend to drain to the draw underneath. The way around this is to put less water in the tray and then everything is fine.
