The Bosch KGN39VL30G fridge freezer is completely frost free and, with an energy label rating of A++, it should save you money on your energy bill. But is it really energy-efficient for the amount of storage space it offers? And is the temperature inside the fridge even across all of its shelves? Our tests find out.

Working as it should
We have had this from February 2013 and it is working as it should, both in the fridge and freezer parts. There is plenty of space in the freezer for our two person household. The compartments in the door could be better organised. A broader choice for outside colour (i.e. not only silver) would help. It is quite tall but I manage and I am only 5' tall.
First time it failed because design means that any moisture in the air can freeze around the fan that cools the fridge. Second failure apparently fan froze but then also an issue with the motherboard. I gave up rather than pay another repair, changed brand (now actively avoid Bosch) and bought fridge and separate freezer.
