Fridge freezers: Compare features & prices Liebherr ICBN3056 review Back to Results

This built-in Liebherr ICBN3056 fridge freezer is frost-free, so you won't have to worry about any messy defrosting. But can this fridge freezer maintain a steady temperature when room temperatures fluctuate, and is it a practical purchase that's cheap to run?

DON'T BUY these expensive products the back up is abysmal
I have just accepted delivery of the third 3056 Fridge Freezer the previous two were deemed beyond economic repair. On all the occasions (and there have been many) I have contacted Liebherr a long delay has occurred prior to the sub-contracted engineer attending. In fairness Leibherr has eventually agreed a replacement but not prior to the threat of legal action. Life is just too short for this type of hassle. I suggest you look elsewhere. Meile freezers are manufactured by Leibherr the difference is Meile customer service and back up is second to non (which is more than can be said for Leibherr). They have their own engineers (not sub contractors) and they know their products.

Normal operation is fine. However in three years of ownership it has experienced 2 major breakdowns (even though we spend some considerable time abroad and it's turned off during that time). Each breakdown has taken about 6 weeks to resolve even after having to chase Leibherr time after time. Each breakdown has taken at least a couple of weeks for an initial assessment and then been unfixable until parts arrive from Germany. Each time the part in question has not fixed the problem and a further order has been required (from Germany). The appliance has wasted a considerable amount of food, and provided a source of huge frustration (the first time it failed just as we put our Christmas food delivery in it).My advice would be to stay well clear. In my experience this very expensive appliance is barely it for purpose and the service facility is shocking.
