Oil leakage test
A five star fryer won't leak oil even if it's tipped on its sides. Fewer stars means that some oil leaked out from around the lid and the lowest scoring fryers had lids which were ineffective at stopping the oil from pouring out.
Changing the oil
A five star fryer means changing the oil is easy compared to lower scoring fryers, where you will have to lift the whole fryer, or cooking bowl, full of oil to pour the oil out to change it
