Kettle reviews: Reliability

We’ve surveyed more than 12,800 Which? members about their kettles, toasters, irons and breadmakers to find out which brands are the most reliable. We’ve compiled their views about their kettles to bring you reliability ratings for the top kettle brands.

Our survey shows that kettles have a short shelf life compared with other small kitchen appliances, so it’s important to choose a brand that bucks this trend and builds kettles that last.

The highest-scoring brand has a good reliablity score of 83%, but three brands have poor reliability – you can find out which in the table, below. We reveal results for brands including Argos Cookworks, Breville, Kenwood, Magimix, Marks and Spencer, Morphy Richards, Philips, Russell Hobbs, Tefal and Tesco.

Only logged-in Which? members can view the unique data below and find out which brands are rated most highly. If you're not already a member discover the benefits of full access for a month.
