Kettle reviews: Reliability
88%The reliability score for the most reliable kettle brand
Every year we survey thousands of Which? members about any problems they've had with their home appliances to find out which brands are the most reliable. Here we reveal our results by showing you the kettle brands that have proven to be the most reliable.
This year our reliability ratings are based on the views of more than 7,500 members who responded to our survey. We have ratings for brands such as Argos Cookworks, Bosch, Breville, DeLonghi, Dualit, Kenwood, Magimix, Morphy Richards, Philips, Russell Hobbs and Tefal.
Four brands score 85% or more for reliability, but four other brands have poor scores.
Which? members expect a new kettle to last almost seven years, on average - but only 9% own a kettle that is at least six years old.

Kettle reviews you can trust
Kettles from the biggest brands, and cheaper own-brands, are tested at the Which? test lab. We test each kettle to find out how quickly it boils, how much noise it makes and how easy it is to use. So when a kettle does brilliantly in all of our tests, you'll know it'll be great when you get it home.
Which? is independent - we work for you, the consumer, so you can be sure that our product recommendations are influenced only by our test results. We don't take advertising and we buy all the products that we test ourselves, so our advice helps you to make the right choice first time and avoid costly mistakes.
