Sub Par
Completely baffled by the stellar reviews on sites about this microwave.Having bought one, the light bulb went in the first few weeks, but the glaring main issue is the sub par microwave power/speed. I had to replace the first microwave.I tested the wattage both microwaves were producing and it was only 650W-700W. This is appalling given that you are buying a 1000W+ product. We would often have to reheat food several times before we could eventually eat it, but by that time we had been put off by the back and forth.Just weak really weak. Wouldn't buy panasonic again.

This is the second panasonic combi microwave oven I have had and there won`t be a third! They are monsters to clean even though my most recent one is listed as having an easier to clean lining....Ha! As far as cooking goes they are ok but not outstanding. Chaos defrost is good as is the microwave function. Grilling is not brilliant, too uneven and slow. Baking is not too reliable either....cakes are often lopsided. As a keen baker I have to resort to my conventional oven even for a batch of fairycakes. Oven cooking for frozen foods etc is fine. Finally, both my panasonics only lasted between 2-3 years and both doors cracked in the same place; the upper, outer corner. No more for me.....

Best microwave for money
We have had this unit for over a year now and it has proved to be excellent, though the grill is a little slow, but in our experience all of them are the same. We had a Panasonic top of the range grill/microwave for 10 years before it gave out , then tried some of the cheaper ones as we only needed a microwave, our recommendation is do not waste your money as they are pathetic. We would recommend this to anyone and clean the stainless with a little olive oil on some kitchen towel and wipe off, this is what the expert chef's and restaurant owners do.

We purchased this on the Which report but after only 9 months the microwave failed and had to be repaired. The repair does not come with any warranty which I consider to be very poor service. We will not be buying any more Panasonic products

Excellent microwaving, disappointing grill, amazing small size.
I got this model mainly for the size. I don't have space for the full size combi microwaves and I wanted a bit more function than a solo microwave. The microwaving is superb, defrosting is excellent. The grill is a bit puny - probably because it is only half the top of the machine, grilling results are ok but slow. I don't know about the oven, I doubt I'll ever use it as I have a range cooker. I am disappointed with the grill, but for the size I suspect this is the best out there.

Panasonic combi microwave :light bulb failure
I could change the light bulb in my original panasonic combi. Now I can't & it costs £80 for a service centre to do it. And the bulb has failed twice ;six moths after purchase, and then again six months later. And guess what? Bulbs aren't covered under warranty. Two bulbs & I've reached the original purchase price.....Googling the issue shows I'm not the only one.And shows it's dangerous to DIYSeems the same applies to Sharp combis as well.Cunning move to sell more units???

Reasonable machine
Bought a few months ago to replace broken Panasonic MV with grill model. The grill on those models was not very good and broke easily.Chose this combi as am in pokey rented kitchen with oven which does not work, and I was sick of the smell and taste of microwave only meals. (I have always done a lot of cooking, but have only recently had to use a microvave so I am a beginner. The fan oven does a reasonable job cooking/warming ready meals, though I find it more fiddly to use than a normal oven. I think it could be a nuisance baking homemade cakes etc as it switches off at end of timing and cools quickly, but I suppose one could set timer for much longer to allow for testing cake and returning to oven if not quite done.Grill is larger and much better than the MV and grill model and I get good results grilling mushrooms, tomatoes, but toast is quicker to use a toaster.Microwave and defrost seem fine. Enamel tray is a bit large/ heavy to lift out and store if space limited.Good range of temps and functions, but labels are difficult to read in poor light. Stainless steel outer does show finger marks and needs dry buff after cleaning.Jacket potato function gives excellent results (well cooked inners and crispy skin) in short time. I much prefer the ease of doing proper cooking using a normal fan oven, but this is reasonable emergency substitute.

First experiences
I have just purchased this product after seeing it listed in the 2010 compilation of best-buys. First cooking experiences are excellent and the construction quality seems much better than our previous LG model. Criticisms: markings on the control panel are quite small - not easy to read in low light, and programming it needs multiple button pushes even for simple tasks like a 30 second re-heat of a drink. That said the machine has more power options including 3 grill heat settings, and a pause or delay mode. Scrolling prompts in the display reduce the need to keep reading from the handbook. Finally we paid £135.00 in - store at John Lewis, which seems excellent value.
