Toaster reviews you can trust
Toasters from the biggest brands, and cheaper own-brands, are tested at the Which? Test lab. We test 2-slice and 4-slice toasters with fresh bread, and a range of different bread shapes and sizes. We also test common breakfast items such as crumpets and bagels. We test how quick they toast, how simple they are to use and clean. We check for how well they brown a whole slice, how even the browning is and if it matches our holy grail of the perfect golden-brown slice of toast. So when a toaster does brilliantly in all of our tests, you'll know it will be great when you get it home.
Which? is independent - we work for you, the consumer, so you can be sure that our product recommendations are influenced only by our test results. We don't take advertising and we buy all the products that we test ourselves, so our advice helps you to make the right choice first time and avoid costly mistakes.
