Vacuum cleaners: Vacuum cleaner parts and spares Hoover spares
Where to find Hoover spares
The Hoover brand and name is synonymous with vacuum cleaners - but what happens when you need to repair a faulty Hoover vacuum cleaner or replace a worn out Hoover spare part?
Buying Hoover spares
Your first port of call for buying Hoover spares is likely to be the manufacturer itself. Hoover has a dedicated spare parts telephone ordering service and a spares and accessories website - though you may want to consider some of the other online stores selling cheap Hoover vacuum cleaner spare parts.
If you're unsure what's wrong with your Hoover vacuum, our vacuum cleaner parts page may be able to help you diagnose the problem or you may need to call in a professional repairer. You can buy spare Hoover bags, belts, filters and other accessories, as well as download handy user manuals for specific Hoover vacuum cleaner models, which may be able to help you work out what the problem is.
You'll need to know the model or serial number of your Hoover vac before you order spare parts for it, as some Hoover spares are compatible with specific models only. Consult your vacuum cleaner instruction booklet or look for the number printed on the product itself.

Other places to find cheap Hoover spares
Hoover vacuum cleaner spares are also available to buy from various other online stores, including Espares, Partmaster, Partsmaster and BuySpares, so it's worth shopping around to find the best deal on spare parts.
It's important to choose a reputable spare parts stockist, as well as comparing shops to get the best price. Domestic appliance body Amdea recommends customers always choose genuine and approved spare parts made by the manufacturer, otherwise you may invalidate your product guarantee.
Hoover guarantee
All new Hoover products are guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months if you register your appliance with Hoover when you buy it - you should check your vacuum cleaner's instruction manual for specific model guarantee details.
The guarantee won't cover general wear and tear of your vacuum cleaner, or accidental damage.
Find a vacuum cleaner repairer
If you're looking for a vacuum cleaner repairer to fix your Hoover vacuum cleaner then you could contact Hoover directly to arrange for an authorised repairer to visit you. Hoover offers a fixed price for repairs labour of £69.98, though you'll have to pay extra for replacement Hoover parts, which can prove expensive.
You might be better off contacting a local independent for a cheaper repair option. When we called 158 different independent repairers in January 2010 to get a quote for replacing a motor on a Hoover vacuum cleaner, prices ranged from £50 to £97 - but the priciest quote of £123.50 was from Hoover.
