American brand Whirlpool offers a wide range of washing machines, and offers a one-year parts and labour guarantee on all washing machines. If you need to replace a part after the first year, you have several options.
Buying Whirlpool spares
Whirlpool’s authorised spare parts retailer is 4ourhouse, and you can buy Whirlpool spare parts directly from www.4whirlpool.co.uk or by calling 0844 847 4279.
Whirlpool spares are also available from a variety of other online retailers, including Espares (www.espares.co.uk), Partmaster (www.partmaster.co.uk), UK Whitegoods (shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk) and Domestic Spares (www.domesticspares.co.uk).
You’ll need to know the model number of your Whirlpool washing machine before ordering spares, as most parts are model-specific. The model number is usually displayed on the washing machine near the controls.
If you’re unsure what’s wrong with your washing machine, you can use our washing machine troubleshooting tool to help diagnose the problem. Plus, if you want to find out how much spare parts typically cost, check out our common washing machine spare parts table.
Finding a washing machine repairer
You can book a Whirlpool service engineer by calling 0844 815 8989. Repair labour costs start at £85, plus parts. Whirlpool also offers a ‘Repair Plan’ which offers a fixed-price repair including parts, for 10 monthly installments of ‘from £15.90’. This might help spread the cost, and your machine is guaranteed against further repairs for 12 months, but may work out more expensive than a single repair, depending on the parts you need.
Alternatively, you can find an independent recommended plumber or appliance repairer in your area by visiting Which? Local – the local trader recommendation website exclusively for Which? Members. Nearly 3,000 plumbers have been recommended on Which? Local so far.
