Miele

German brand Miele offers a range of upright vacuum cleaners, including the Miele S 7580 AutoCare, the Miele S 7260 Cat & Dog and the Miele S 7210 Black and Yellow vacuum cleaner. It also offers a range of cylinder vacuums, including the Miele S 5211 vacuum, the Miele 4212 Turbo vacuum and the Miele Automatic Turbo 5000 vacuum.

We currently have the results of extensive tests on 18 Miele vacuum cleaners - find out how each model scored by visiting our vacuum cleaner reviews. We ran extra tests on the Miele S 4812 Hybrid vac - the first vacuum to let you choose between mains and battery power - to see how well it cleaned when in battery mode.

The Miele machines we’ve tested typically cost around £150 to £300, although one model costs almost £500 so it’s worth researching which model best suits you before you splash out.

Miele recently launched the Ecoline S 4212 vacuum, which it claims is an effective environmentally-friendly vacuum cleaner. Find out how it coped in our lab by visiting our Miele S 4212 Ecoline review.

Miele vacuum cleaner reviews

In our vacuum cleaner reviews, Miele models generally score very well when tested on traditional wooden and laminate floors. They also tend to score well for ease of use and excellently for ease of emptying.

However, several Miele vacs score poorly for cleaning stairs. Not all Miele vacs are the same, so check our Miele vacuum test results before investing in a particular model.

As well as testing vacuum cleaners in our lab, we also survey thousands of vacuum cleaner owners about any problems or faults they've encountered with their vac. Find out how reliable Miele’s machines are by visiting the vacuum cleaner reliability page in our vacuum reviews.

Miele vacuum cleaners come with a one-year warranty as standard, but you can extend this to two years for free by registering your vac. You can do this online, by phone (calling 0870 608 0028) or by post (returning the guarantee card that comes with your vacuum). You can also pay to extend your warranty to last up to 10 years.

The Miele vacuums we’ve tested vary in capacity (how much dust and dirt they can hold) from 1.8 litres to 4.7 litres, and reach (how far they can reach from the plug socket) varies from 8.7m to 14.5m. See the full specifications of each model in our vacuum cleaner reviews to make sure you choose one that suits your needs.
