Vax vacuum cleaner reviews
In our vacuum cleaner tests, Vax vacuums generally score from average to good for cleaning laminate floors and for tackling walls and corners. They also tend to score from average to good for cleaning carpets, though one model scores very poorly and a couple of others score poorly.
Scores for picking up pet hair and allergens range from very poor to excellent, so if you have allergies or a pet, make sure you use our compare vacuum cleaners tool to find a Vax vacuum that performs well on these criteria.
As well as testing vacs in our lab, we also survey thousands of vacuum cleaner owners about faults and problems they've encountered. Find out how reliable Vax vacuums are by visiting the reliability page of our vacuum review.
Vax vacuum cleaners come with a free guarantee of either one, two or six years, depending on the product range. All the premium Mach (upright and cylinder) vacuum cleaners have a six-year guarantee and all the Power (upright and cylinder) vacuum cleaners have a two-year guarantee. To activate your guarantee, you should register your vac within one month of purchase, either by filling in the online form (at www.vax.co.uk/registration) or by sending back the card included in the box.
The Vax vacuums we’ve tested vary in capacity (how much dirt and dust they can hold) quite significantly, from 1.6 litres to 6.7 litres, and reach (how far they can reach from the plug socket) varies from 6.3m to 10.4m. See the full specifications of each model in our vacuum cleaner reviews to make sure you choose a vacuum that suits your needs.
